“It has been a life changing experience – after 15 years of daily back pain, I am now almost
totally pain and pill free! Since starting Pilates, 10 months ago, I can honestly say, I have only needed to take pain killers on about 3 occasions....... I didn’t
think for one minute that it would work as well as it has. I was a bit of a sceptic but now I am converted.'' Debbie,

Private one to one sessions at my studio offer you a tailored programme
to really focus on your individual requirements:
- postural assessment & improvement
- healthy back programmes
- injury rehabilitation
- sports specific performance improvement
- general fitness & wellbeing
- relaxation
The equipment used in the studio gives both versatility and increased challenge to the Pilates method.
In addition to the tailored programme you will receive in the studio, I aim to encourage exercises and awareness which you
can take into everyday life and use between sessions.

Reformer Training
The reformer
is a unique piece of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. It is
a sliding ‘bed’ which uses pulleys and resistance from your own body weight on the machine and graduates levels
of springs to load finely tuned resistance.
There is a full repertoire of precise exercises which can then be performed on the machine to provide stabilisation,
resistance and alignment work. The Reformer allows you to ‘feel’
your deep core muscles and body working in a completely different way to matwork.
It is also ideally suited to injury rehabilitation. Its main aims and
benefits are:
- Increases spinal flexibility
- Redresses imbalanced muscle recruitment patterns
- Enhances range of movement
- Improves posture
- Develops strength without bulk
- Brings about stronger and more toned abdominal and back muscles

I trained with the Body Control Pilates Academy and I am
member of the Body Control Pilates Association. All members work to a code of practice, which governs teaching standards,
professional ethics and continuing education. You can be sure that a teacher qualified with the BCPA has an excellent understanding
of the Pilates method.
